10. "She makes up for her hearing loss by reading people's lips. I was the one that helped her practice how to use cues such as reading a person's facial expression, looking at the situation around her, and following the context of a conversation to figure out what words were being said."
11. That's why, I ended up learning how to read lips, too.
12. We would practice day after day,

14. And she'd be really tired whenever we finished, since it required a lot of focus.
15. It was as intense as taking a class.
