1. "I need to know these rules of yours."
2. Is she serious right now?
1. She really wants to know them... I guess...
2. "Okay, fine."
1. "I don't plan on ever actually being with anyone permanently."
1. "My parents taught me that it only leads to heartbreak."
2. "I like having fun, and I'm not sure I'm strong enough to come back from something like a broken heart."
1. "So my rules are: I don't sleep with anyone that I know my friends like..."
1. "I don't sleep with anyone's partner, and I never sleep with someone more than three times."
1. After a couple of truly uncomfortable seconds she uttered.
1. "I think you're wrong, you know."
1. "I don't think it's wrong, I think it protects everyone involved."
1. "No one thinks that I'm going to give them more than I have to give."
2. "I also don't want to make any enemies by sleeping with someone's partner."
3. I replied softly.
1. "Not about the rules."
1. "About not being strong enough, I can tell you are."
2. I sat there
1. I was left with really nothing to say back to that.
2. She didn't know me.
1. She didn’t know what my parents did to me, to each other.
2. People break each other’s hearts.
1. It's hard to believe I'd only just met her.
2. I feel like we've already said so much to one another, maybe a little too much.
1. "Well, all I do know is that I don't require daily phone calls, mushy love notes, bouquets of roses or cuddles every night."
1. "A low-maintenance girl. I can dig that."
2. "Now hold on to me tight, because we're about to"
1. "Take off."
2. "Got it!"
1. I felt naked around this girl...
1. She sees too much or thinks too highly of me, I couldn't figure out which one.
1. I just wanted to get to my apartment, take a shower and a nap before my shift tonight.
1. "Thanks for the ride."
1. When I got to my door, sera walked past me.
2. "I appreciated not having to walk all the way here."
1. "Not a problem, I think we basically have the same schedule on these days."
1. "Next time, let's stay for lunch though."
1. She smiled at me and started to walk up to her apartment.
1. "Hey!"
2. "Do you want to come in here for lunch? I'll cook."
1. "Well, I'm not a michelin chef, but I can make"
1. "But I can make us some lunch."
2. "It's the least I can do for making you dump yours. And I need to talk to you about something."
1. "Sure, I would love to join you."
1. That afternoon, I cooked tteokbokki and ramen noodles for sera...
1. After lunch, she helped me clean the dishes, and I apologized for the attempted kiss I had wanted to give her the previous day.
2. She reassured me that it wasn't necessary, and that she was intrigued by my personality, which made me chuckle.
1. We continued to enjoy each other's company, I learned a lot about her and her personality.
2. Our friendship grew stronger from that day onwards.
1. Perhaps she would even become one of my closest friends.
