1. In my 2nd year of high school, on sports day...
2. In the damp gym storage room...
4. As the cheers of my classmates echo faintly in the distance...
5. All I can hear is the breathing of my cheating partner.
Laden…Laden…
1. I'm sure that neither teachers...
2. Nor friends know we're here.
3. No one knows.
1. —and it's fine if no one ever knows.
2. Thank you so much for reading Volume 6 of "My Girlfriend's Not Here Today"! A new girl has entered the fray... is everyone okay with that? Yuni and Fuuko... the readers' emotions... and even the author's poor stomach... everything is a tangled mess... (Let's hang in there for Volume 7!)
4. Volume 6 was all about sports day. As a natural-born introvert, drawing the scene where Nanase in her gakuran was being squealed over by shrieking classmates jumping around honestly made me feel like quitting being human. But thanks to an angsty Yuni throwing away her youth, and Mama Fuuko giving her guidance, I was saved. Lately, the characters have started moving on their own, so it's gotten a lot easier to draw. While Mama Fuuko is kind of running wild, now that a new girl has shown up, will this shake things up? Will Yuni, with all her whining, sulking, and clinginess, finally grow up? Will Nanase, whose thought process is a total mystery, make a move... or not? And what about Yuki!?
5. (I really want to draw more of Yuki, but... I just haven't had the chance, and I'm afraid there isn't much demand. Pien.)
6. A disturbing new wind is blowing in Volume 7, so please, please look forward to it!
11. ...and You, my dear readers.
2. ""I want to be your mama, yuni-chan.""
3. Yuni, unable to understand the meaning of fuuko's words is confused.
4. Meanwhile, nanase, worried about her relationship with yuni,
5. Takes it out on yuki, but afterwards,
6. Gives her a hairpin as a gesture of reconciliation.
7. Yuni, who had been hoping for nanase to say "I want us to match",
8. Ends up getting into an argument with her-
9. ""Idiot! I really hate you!!""
