1. Why did he call her that...? 2. "Um," 3. "Who was that guy?" 4. "Is it okay" 5. "if I ask about what happened earlier?" 6. "Maekawa?" 7. "Sorry, I didn't know you weren't good with crowds--" 8. "Don't worry, I'm fine now!"

1. In the end, my parents divorced. 2. She worked two jobs, maybe more, so I wanted to make life easier for her. 3. "Your lunch!!" 4. "See you later!!" 5. So, for a while, I lived with my mum. 6. I only had one reason I wanted to draw manga, 8. and that was to make my dad proud of me, to make him smile like he used to. 9. But... 10. "It's not really a job you can live off of, is it?" 11. "Eh? Why?" 12. Please just stop.

1. "I'm gonna make a life out of this! Just you wait and see!" 2. "Don't you dare say that!!" 3. And you'll end up the same way. You're my daughter, alright... 4. I lost my job, and I lost my family... 5. "Akane!" 6. And after that--

1. Well, all I could think of 2. was getting my big break. 3. "Thank you!" 4. "Oh, this art's gorgeous! No, no, I love it, what you've got going here is just great!" 5. and then just run over the same romance tropes as ever, and you're done. 6. Draw pretty, have everyone say fake deep things, 7. See? Not so hard, is it?

1. "Aah!" 2. "That looks impressively banal." 3. "Toudou, what are you here for?" 4. "Is that what you want? Is that what you're trying to draw here?" 5. "Write something that treats your readers like idiots, and in the end no-one's gonna care about you once they see through it."

2. "I'm sorry about that! Just ignore him." 3. What's with him... 4. "Is he an editor here, too?" 5. "Ah..." 6. "Oh, come on, keep your nose out of this!" 7. "Huh..." 8. "I'm Toudou, yeah." 9. "He's dangerous. Stay away from him." 10. "Understood." 11. "I'm the asshole who actually wants manga to be good and worth reading." 12. the only thing that makes him happy is manga.

1. What the hell. 2. I give the audience what they want. I'm a pro. 3. All that preaching about 'ooh draw what you want'. 4. "Y'know, I think Maekawa Akane kinda sucks..." 5. "Oooh, look, new issue's out." 6. I'm in the right here.

2. "Hipster." 3. "Oh, actually, y'know who you gotta start reading?" 4. "Oh? Who?" 5. "Iunno, her stuff just feels kinda fake? I don't like, get into it." 6. "Huhhh? People love her, though!" 7. In the end 8. no-one's gonna care about you.

1. And then writer's block stepped in, and I spiralled. 2. The more I drew, the more painful it got, but what else could I do... 3. but slowly, it got harder and harder to create anything... 4. I cut out everything in my life but drawing,

1. Why!? 2. And in the end, 3. "Why..."

1. it felt like I'd completely lost sight of that 'other world'. 2. "Well, I guess I just wasn't cut out for it." 3. "I should have gotten a proper job from the start." 4. "The end!" 5. "You sure do look like someone who's just had some very intense drama dumped on her and now can't think of a proper reply!" 6. "Eh!?" 7. "Shall we go home?"

2. "..." 3. "Sorry about all that." 4. "Nah, it's fine." 5. "I'm so glad I finally found someone just like me!" 6. "But you used to be a manga artist, huh?" 7. "Yeah!" 8. "Just like you." 9. "Yep! That's what yuri is for me!" 10. "What you want," 11. "for fun." 12. "Wow, though, the pro life sounds really hard~" 13. "I just draw what I want for fun, 'specially considering what I'm into!"

1. "I just think it's kind of a waste to give up on everything just because something bad happened once!" 2. I really am a waste! 3. And that's all it took for me to give up. 4. "Yeah!" 5. "...maybe so."

2. "Haha..." 3. "It's not! I mean, I think you're great!" 4. "It's not?" 5. "W-wait, uh, that's not what I'm going for here!" 6. "Huh?" 7. "You sweet summer child~" 8. "Shimizu-san,"

1. "I can't believe this all started with a coincidence~" 2. "Uhm?" 3. "Of me seeing your blog." 4. "Uh?" 5. "all I had to show you was a tiny bit of understanding, and you believed everything I said." 6. "You weren't lost at all! That was all a lie!!!" 7. "Oh no! You didn't turn off your phone!" 9. "I guess it was, then!" 10. "Ha-ha!" 11. "Yo--" 12. "Yooou..." 13. "I saw you were going to that doujin event in March and thought, "Ooh, I'll come along and mess with her~""

2. "But it was fun messing with you, Shimizu-san~" 3. "Seeing that awful editor again might have been it for me, though." 4. "It's worn me down, completely. I see it as part of the work grind." 5. "Ah, but I really do hate drawing now." 6. "Well, it was a very entertaining waste of time!" 7. "Anyway, I've got a home to get back to, so!"

1. "What are you doing here, Maekawa-sensei?" 2. "What do you..." 3. "...ngnnghg..." 4. "Maekawa!!" 5. "I'm not taking this!!"

1. "I..."

1. "I really can't stand you." 2. "but I just can't get back there again." 3. "Do you know how much this hurts for me? There being something I want, I love--" 4. it's not like I'm in a position to give life advice, but... 5. I mean, 6. Don't just run away-- 7. "You're just going to keep suffering, Maekawa." 8. "But."
