2. I'm the author of "The Summer You Were There" and I'm grateful you took the time to read it! 3. "Hey, Yuama here!" 4. "Woof!" 5. So, I decided on Kanagawa Prefecture as the setting, but... 6. I've lived there before, and it has Chinatown and Enoshima, lots of tasty food, and an aquarium to boot. 7. So many places to go! 8. "Oh, I know! Kanagawa!" 9. Somewhere with tasty food would make research more fun. 11. "Where should I set it..." 12. I started working on this series right after my last one released its final volume. 13. Lives at home in the middle of nowhere. 14. "Curse you..." 15. I couldn't even go to Kanagawa at all... 16. I didn't get to scout out a single location. 17. Thanks to a certain virus 18. "Oh, could you get a picture of the seating at the dolphin show?" 19. "Thank you..." 21. "If you've got a specific place or angle in mind, just let me know." 22. When I really wanted a picture of something, I had Ten-san take it for me.

1. I ended up having to revise the rough draft six times. 2. The hardest part was getting rid of the otaku vibes. 3. Sometimes I'd find myself veering back into IkeShiki territory. 6.
